It's never really been explicitly explained: why *did* Dolly Legs keep picking off apples from that tree and toss them into the sea? And furthermore, why were the villagers so upset at her for doing this?
As a side-note, will we ever learn her backstory? The most we ever got was that kid in the apartment commenting on how she used to live with them...
I believe I explained it (kind of) to those who asked! The apples were pretty much keeping the island alive. They were mad at her because she was killing it (the island).
I haven't explained why she was doing that though, I will someday and show some backstory as well!
That game is not as well thought as I'd like, I already said it to another guy, it's a little embarrasing.
That's alright, it was still a wonderful experience playing your game regardless.
If I may, I would have liked to have seen some sort of hint that the island was dying as you picked off the apples. Like, have the buildings grow more and more dilapidated, have that giant plant/the pumpkins/the forest slowly wither and die, and have the villagers comment on all this with each apple being picked. Because nothing particularly felt out of the ordinary as I kept picking the apples; I never got the impression that the island was really falling apart. I think it would clear up that important plot point you had.
...That's just about my only complaint. Otherwise, the incredible atmosphere you built- from the surreal art style to the music -is absolutely breathtaking. I've beaten it several times, and its charm never falters each time. I applaud your work, and I hope to one day see more of Ms. Dolly Legs.
I tried giving some hints. Remember those black plant things (they were supposed to be like those weeds people always remove from their gardens)? They grew longer as you picked the apples, there's even a kid who points it out. The tree withers a little more every time you pick an apple. Also, the giant plant dies in the three endings! You can see it when the accordion song is playing.
Still I know I could have made that more clear (clearer?), I actually wanted to have more weed things and have them grow larger, specially at the ending (the long scrolling scene is to show how the weeds "took over" the island), but the game turned a lot slower when I did, so I just left them like they are now. I wish I thought about dilapidating the buildings, that could have helped so much.
The game has a lot of flaws so thanks a bunch for liking it anyway!! And unless I die you will see more of her!
(woah, that's a lot of writing, sorry about that).
Me he preguntado, ¿ como deberia ser pateada por unas piernas como esas ? D:

Sure thing.
